Lindsey Kanes is a speech-language pathologist and a certified auditory-verbal therapist living in Nashville, Tennessee. Before joining MED-EL, she served children and adults with hearing loss for seven years at Vanderbilt’s Bill Wilkerson Center and Mama Lere Hearing School in Nashville. Lindsey works closely with hearing implant candidates, recipients and professionals throughout the South, teaching them about MED-EL’s superior technologies and resources. Before joining MED-EL, Melissa Harold served as an Early Intervention Specialist who focused on supporting children (and their families) navigate a hearing loss diagnosis. She continues her career in education at MED-EL, traveling around the West to support and empower individuals and their families with hearing differences throughout their journeys toward better hearing. Her focus is on educating implant candidates, recipients, and the professionals with whom they work about MED-EL’s extraordinary hearing technologies, resources, and community of passionate employees and recipients.

Kim Twitchell

Kim Twitchell, MS

Canada

Kim Twitchell received her Bachelor of Science degree in human kinetics from the University of Guelph and attended Georgian College to earn the Communicative Disorders Assistant diploma. After working in speech language therapy for a year at a school board, Kim decided to pursue her Masters of Audiology degree at Ithaca College. After starting her audiology career at a private practice, she moved to the Hospital for Sick Children and joined their cochlear implant and bone anchored hearing aid programs. Kim then moved to London Health Sciences Centre and added adults and geriatrics to her cochlear implant care. She brought her experience to MED-EL Canada in 2010, working as a clinical account manager and a research manager as well as joining the clinical education and currently, the consumer engagement team.
